For this assignment we were ask to design a home web page with navigation to promote any cause that we have chosen. I decided to design a site to promote the art designed throughout this course. You may have noticed that this final design strays away from my original design. Originally, I wanted to incorporate a flash player in the middle of the home page to display the art produced throughout this course. I have spent many hours researching and trying to figure out how to add this element. Unfortunately, this idea was way ahead of my knowledge when it comes to working with Photoshop. This exercise allowed me to realize that enough though I have learned a lot about using Photoshop, there is much more I don't know when it comes to using Photoshop.
For this design I used a navigation bar at the top of the page with a bold title inside a black and grey street lamp. I decided to use a black/grey background to allow the artist work to stand out more efficiently. The middle banner contains information pertaining to the artist work, benefits, and testimonies. The bottom banner displays art work developed by the artist. This would have been the spot I would have like to use the flash player. Lastly, the bottom banner contains more navigational tools for information.
